Netflix + Wii + Wifi = Value in Franklin TN

Alright, we all know what’s coming in the way of TV.  We are just a few years from total on demand programming.  A time when we can watch what we want when we want.  Here is another step in that direction.

Recently Netflix launched the app.  If you are a member of Netflix ($8.99 per month) you get access to their vast array of DVD movies.  For a while now you also have access to about 120,000 on demand online movies and television programs.  Nice right? Well sort of.  You needed a dedicated set top box or pc to watch the online content.  Enter the game system.  The bigger boys have been here for a while.  I speak of the Xbox and PS3.  They will play the online content no problem.   But what about the Wii.  That weird little game box that seems to get better as time goes on.

Well, now you can add Netflix to your Wii.  Last night I received my free Wii disk from Netflix, loaded it, entered the activations code online and we were off.  I was watching Richard Prior in  The Toy in no time.  The quality was great even though I was running it through my home WIFI network.  No skips or jumps (sweet.)

Now not everything is available on line but I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like.  For $9 bucks a month, you get one DVD at a time and unlimited access to on line movies and TV.  Skip rentals get Netflix.
